## Storage Gateway

* Is a hybrid storage service that allows your on-premises applications to seamlessly use AWS Cloud storage.
  * You can use the service for:
    * Backup and archiving,
    * Disaster recovery,
    * Cloud data processing,
    * Storage tiering,
    * and migration.
* The gateway connects to AWS storage services, like `S3`, `Glacier`, `EBS`, or others, providing storage for files, volumes, and virtual tapes.
* It delivers low-latency data access, while leveraging the agility, economics and security of AWS Cloud.
