Scrum Values
About
These values are key to make the scrum pillars come to life, and build the necessary trust between the scrum team and the other stakeholders.
Commitment (1 por todos e todos por 1)
People personally commit, not just get involved to achieving the goals of the scrum team.
Business and technical people must work together.
And the entire scrum team is held accountable for the results.
If one fail, all fail.
Courage
The scrum team members must have courage to do the right thing, and work on tough problems.
You need to get out of your comfort zone.
Its about having a growth mindset.
Focus
Everyone focuses on the work of the Sprint and the goals of the Scrum team.
It is working on what is more important first, that is why the product backlog is emergent and ordered, where usually we have only the top product backlog items with enough details for the developers to understand it and be able to develop it during the Sprint.
Openness
Strongly relates to the Transparency pillar.
The scrum team and stakeholders agree to be open about all the work and challenges with performing the work.
Its about good teamwork, asking and offering help when needed, and sometimes admit that the wrong decision was taken and that the team must change the way of working.
Respect
Scrum team members respect each other to be capable and independent people.
It is about knowing that people are doing their best, giving them autonomy, assuming that they are good enough and have good intentions, recognizing that they have different backgrounds, personalities and abilities.
Respect and Commitment generally are the ones that fail to be followed.
